Multiple Intelligence

NO ONE IS PERFECT
Jurnal Reflection
M. Iqbal Maulana
What I am going to write is now about the reflection of the LTM class. This session was lectured by Mrs. Sugi which talked about human’s multiple intelligences. Every human can’t do everything what they want, there must be something they are unable to do. For instance, Heri is a good English teacher. He can teach English by various methods and give the easy way to teach it to his student. However, when he is asked to teach Math, he quits. He even does not understand Math just for his own comprehension, moreover how he can teach it to his student. Another example is, Ayu Ting Ting is a very famous dangdut singer. She can sing very well with her good voice and attracting dance. On the other hands, she can’t drive a Motor GP. It shows us that actually human is unique. We cannot stereotype them just by a certain measurement. Each human was created completely by their abilities and infirmities. Even Prof. Habibi also has his own weakness. So that is why, we cannot ever and never call someone down just because of their particular disability.
As one of teacher candidates, I strongly agree that each of us must have knowledge about this knowledge. Why is this so? Teachers will deal with their students who come from many varieties of student. We have to know in which aspect each student belongs to. We cannot directly judge our students when they get red score for chemistry. They perhaps have their passion in other subject; either it is English, History, or computing. We cannot force them to do what we are asking them for. Our duty is just to introduce and direct them to the subject we want to teach. We are highly not allowed to insult them whatever the condition is. It will make their self esteem down. We have to be open-hearted teacher.

Finally, no one is perfect. Thank you
